An internal platform for a large retailer’s sample-to-order workflow, across seven roles.

The challenge
A buying team was carrying item and sample requests through email, chat and spreadsheets. Approvals from several roles were needed before purchasing could place an order, and there was no single place to see where a request stood or which reviewer was holding it up.
What we built
A role-aware platform for account managers, reviewers, analysts, purchasing and managers. A request moves through the approval chain the workflow requires; each reviewer sees only what belongs to them; purchasing adds cost, retail and minimum order quantity before creating the order; and every step is stamped and auditable. Sign-in supports email, Microsoft SSO and passkeys, with optional 2FA; real-time chat and notifications ride on the same backend; scheduled backups and a maintenance mode keep operations safe.
