The challenge
Retail usually runs a till that knows today and a back office that knows last month, and the two only meet in a spreadsheet.
What we built
One application with three faces on the same API and database: a touch POS for the shop floor with barcode scanning and silent thermal printing, a head-office back office, and a public storefront. Stock is an append-only movement ledger rather than a mutable number, so every sale, receipt, transfer, stocktake and return is attributable — and a sale on the till moves the numbers everywhere immediately.
Where it stands
Running in production; branch-local databases and offline sync are the next phase.
